BLUE Team emerged over-all champion in the Davao Light and Power Company’s Distribution Service Department Team Building and Extreme Challenge held Saturday at Kalinawan Resort in Canibad of the Island Garden City of Samal.
Led by supervisor Nelson Gumba, the Blues first won the cheering contest against the three other 10-man groups from Yellow, Purple and Green.
The Blues continued their winning form by quickly finishing the snorkeling event and completing their flags in just seven minutes.
Green finished second with a time of eight minutes followed by Purple (10 minutes) and Yellow (12 minutes).
The teams also enjoyed the zip line, rappelling and canopy walk at the Kalinawan Resort owned by Vip and Mylene Jacob.
After a sumptuous lunch, participants saw action in final event — a tandem relay in kayaking featuring the six members of each team.
Blue, which was powered by co-organizer Tirso Cruz, Galileo Casia, Baltazar Apigo, Anthony Calabio, Adrian Lumba and Roldan de Loyola, finished first by clocking five minutes and 59 seconds.

Green, represented by event organizer Roy Sasuman, Eric Blanco, Allan Villaver, Oscar Maglasang, Noel Baogbog and Ruann May Polado finished third at 12 minutes and 10 seconds.

Purple was represented by James Ryan Malones, Eddie Baylosis, Rolando Alejandria, Joel Risano, Cloyde Galera and Eric Valeroso.
“We really had fun and enjoyed this kind of team building. Kalinawan Resort is also a very nice and great place, Emily Cancio of the DLPC Corporate Communications Department said.
Also present were supervisors Dick Cabrera, Wilfredo Pacatang, Elmer Amigo and Noel Magallon.
